A Russian missile violated Polish airspace. “The village head saw the light”

According to reports Wirtualna Polska the mayor of the Ulhówek commune learned about the Russian missile from the village head of Oserdów. The man allegedly saw the moment the rocket flew. – He told me it was still dark. He saw such light flying over Oserdów – reported mayor Łukasz Kłębek in an interview with wp.pl. – He said it was some unidentified object. At first he thought it was a drone or something. This went on for about 30 seconds. It circled over Oserdów and returned back towards Ukraine, he added.

Oserdów is located close to Przewodów, where two people died as a result of a rocket in 2022. – The village head is not very timid, so he didn’t show that he was afraid of anything. He only said: “Oh, now our town, where 10 people live, will be famous throughout Poland,” said the mayor of the Ulhówek commune.

Why wasn’t the Russian missile shot down? COD spokesperson: There was no authorization

This is the third missile to violate Polish airspace since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. DORSZ spokesman Lt. Col. Jacek Goryszewski explained why the missile was not shot down. – In the case of this missile, there was no authorization to shoot it down. The main reason for this was that we knew what the flight trajectory was. Moreover, the missile stayed in our space for a very short time and was not within the range of our military or land-based fire assets, the spokesman said.
