However, Coca-Cola has decided to remove its distributors completely from Belgian secondary schools. According to Eva Lefevre, a spokesperson for Coca-Cola, this decision is a personal one, and they take social expectations seriously.
From the end of the year, there will no longer be any Coca-Cola dispensers in Belgian schools. According to information from the Nieuwsblad, it was the brand itself that made this decision, in order to “meet social expectations”.
If soda distributors no longer existed in primary schools, in secondary schools, they were still present, but only with Coca-Cola Zero, water or sugar-free drinks.
The Coca-Cola giant has therefore decided to go further and completely remove its distributors from Belgian secondary schools. “It is true that we are currently informing our customers. For these reasons, we are now taking the commercial decision to stop our sales to secondary schools in Belgium by the end of 2023.
