JERUSALEM: Videos by Israeli content creators mocking the plight of Palestinians, who are suffering without water and electricity due to the Israeli blockade, have come under widespread criticism.

For the past several days, videos of Palestinians drinking water and switching lights on and off have been circulating on social media, mocking the helpless condition of Palestinians.

The inclusion of Israeli children in some of the videos also sparked protests. There has been criticism that the videos are morally depraved and teach children lessons of hatred.

Eve Cohen, an Israeli special effects artist, made a video mocking the victims of Israeli bombings, accusing them of acting.

In the video, Cohen, dressed in a black and white scarf known as a keffiyeh, pretends to have blood and injuries from the bombing with powder and tomato sauce.

Israeli influencer Matanel Layani is seen drinking water directly from an open tap, flushing a toilet, and pouring water into a cup until it overflows, mocking Palestinians who are without water or electricity.

He taunts the Palestinians by over-watering the plants and constantly turning the lights on and off.

There is also a complaint that Palestinian accounts reporting on the plight of Gaza are being removed amid widespread protests on social media against such videos by Israelis.

Criticism was raised against Instagram’s move to remove the account I On Palestine, which has more than 60 million followers on Instagram.

Instagram explained that the account was removed due to the threat of being hacked.

Palestinian content creators continue to post videos on social media, braving death to expose the true face of Israeli aggression.

The Palestinian Ministry of Interior released a list of more than 7,000 people killed in Palestine. Authorities inform that half of them are children.
