Panasonic unveils the Lumix S5 II, its first mirrorless phase detection camera

this newcomer introduces a major innovation to the brand’s entire range of mirrorless cameras: thephase detection autofocus.

The camera can also record in Full HD 120 fps in h.264, as well as in C4K and 4K UHD in 4:2:2 10 bits. Added to this are some interesting options, such as recording sequences in ProRes an internal an an 5,8K RAW and external.

The Lumix S5 II gets a new OLED viewfinder 6.3 million dots and a stick that allows focusing in eight directions. Two SD card slots are also integrated, not to mention the new stabilization mode Active IS.

The availability of the Panasonic Lumix S5 II is announced for the end of January. Mirrorless camera will be sold 2199 euros the bare body (without lens) and 2499 euros as a kit (with a 20-60 mm lens).
