Ex-President Park Reveals Anecdotes With Former President Moon Jae-in
Park Soo-hyun, former chief of public communication at the Blue House, introduced an anecdote of a joke with former President Moon Jae-in.
On the 19th, Park appeared on ‘Kim Eo-jun’s Dasboida’ and said, “As I ate with President Moon, I said, ‘You will know that I have never even dreamed of a president. But these days, I have a dream that I want to become president,’ and the president said, ‘Is it so?'” He said.
Afterwards, when the host asked, “Did (Ex-President Moon) burst? He smiled as his body moved backwards.”
At the same time, Park insisted that he did not come to the Blue House to take over from Moon Jae-in at the transition committee after Yoon Seok-yeol was elected president. He said, “We were proud (of the Moon Jae-in government), so we tried to take over, but no one came to take over.” Then the host said, “So it’s such a mess.”
Park gave an evaluation of the current government as uneasy. He criticized, “From the perspective of those who have experienced the Blue House for even a day, it’s a mess and it’s really insecure, so I’m scared to watch the news,” he said. When the host retorted, “I’m back to the level of the 80’s,” he set the day one after another, saying, “I think it would have been better than this in the 80’s.” As an example, the 77th Liberation Day celebrations were cited.

Regarding President Yoon’s press conference, Park said, “There was no sympathy, apology, or vision. Is it difficult to say a word of apology?” “I feel sorry for the presidential staff. Now, everything is wrapped up by the president, and the staff sees it (it doesn’t make sense to have it resolved),” he said. Regarding the door stepping (abbreviated press conference), he said, “I walk around to make it easy and talk freely. Is that not easy?” he asked, “It makes the country dizzy. Please don’t make the country a bit messy by pretending to be easygoing and miscommunicating.”
Regarding President Yoon’s refusal to immediately answer a question related to Lee Jun-seok, former representative of the People’s Power, at a press conference, he said, “I conveyed Yoon’s heart, ‘Lee Jun-seok must be organized.'”
He interpreted, “(President Yoon) has created a message that he is not interested in Lee Jun-seok, and I think it was delivered to Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People’s Power, as ‘internal firearms’ as he stipulated that ‘Lee Jun-seok should be organized in the future’.”
Earlier, at a press conference on the 100th day of his inauguration on the 17th, President Yoon responded to a reporter’s question about the conflict with former President Lee, saying, “As President, I have been working hard on the stability of the people’s livelihood and the safety of the people, so I can’t understand what other politicians have said. There is no opportunity to take it,” he said, avoiding an immediate answer.
