The are shocking testimonials that come to light for the bloody attack on a school in Patisia this morning.
A 19-year-old originally from Georgia broke into the 41st Gymnasium of Athens, wielding a hammer and a knife, and attacked a student of Nigerian origin and the school’s principal, injuring them.
The prayer had just taken place in the school yard. They were all going up to their rooms, until suddenly there was absolute chaos, with screams and panic.
“We saw the kid hit the Nigerian and the kid tried to punch him to defend himself and then we saw him hit the kid on the head with a hammer and the child lost consciousness and had blood everywhere”.
The children started running to escape while the schoolboy lay unconscious on the floor from the blows he received. The manager ran to catch the 19-year-old with the hammer and was his next victim.
“She wanted to kill him”
The testimonies of the students show that for a few days now the atmosphere between the specific children has been tense. “Last Thursday, the perpetrator wanted to leave the child alone, he had found him outside the school and the thing is that his parents had come to protect him.”
No one knows the real reason for the children’s difference, with the victim’s parents even worried for his life.
“A while ago they were flattened. His parents had told the children and me that the perpetrator wanted to kill the child and his family and there is no specific reason.”
There were not a few times, in fact, that the principal was forced to contact the authorities for incidents of violence at the school. “It is a school that generally faces problems with extracurriculars, with drugs. Every day something happened. He has been to the department too many times, many times he has been threatened,” says his manager’s wife.
The 19-year-old perpetrator, who was hiding in the basement, was arrested and the investigation continues into the incident that nearly took the lives of two people.
The deadly weapons of attack
An image of the knife and hammer used by the 19-year-old Georgian in his attack on the 41st Athens High School in Kypseli was published by the Police.
It is about the knife with which the Georgian struck the 18-year-old Nigerian at the Kypseli High School and the knife with which he stabbed the principal.
It is recalled that the bloody incident happened at 8.30 in the morning at the high school of Kypseli, with the 19-year-old attacker entering the school and initially attacking the student from Nigeria with a hammer and then stabbing the school director who tried to separate them.
In fact, he tried to stab the police officers who rushed to the scene to immobilize him and arrest him. But he didn’t succeed.
