Political observer and Director of Lingkar Civil Indonesia (Lima), Ray Rangkuti, said that there would be nothing wrong if PDIP joined Prabowo Subianto’s coalition.
“I can’t say yet if they will take the cabinet slots, because if they come in, why not, why not? “Reflecting on Gerindra, which in the Jokowi era only got two, Golkar joined in and got four,” explained Ray to Indonesia, Monday (8/4).
Ray only questioned whether parties like Golkar or the Democrats would be disturbed if PDIP later joined and asked for a ministerial seat.
“I see this step, the short step is for PDIp to negotiate with Prabowo so that there is no revision of the MD3 Law,” he explained.
“The long term is to disturb Pak Jokowi,” he said.
Ray predicts that PDIP will actually take opposition steps if its demands are not met.
Ray is also worried that if PDIP joins the number two candidate pair coalition, parties like NasDem, PKS will be outside the government’s grand coalition.
“They will push NasDem, PKS, outside because they are no longer needed if PDIP joins the coalition. “PKB is important because it is an element of NU,” he stressed. (Z-8)
