Pedro Castillo: Waldemar Cerrón assures that Peru Libre regrets accompanying him politically

the congressman Waldemar Cerron acknowledged this Sunday that Free Peru regrets having accompanied the president Pedro Castillo because it is not fulfilling the ideology. In this sense, he emphasized that since the electoral campaign the change of the Constitution was promised and they still have not fulfilled it.

“We have to make a mea culpa for having led the political issue, through the current president, because he is not fulfilling the ideology. It is not personal, be careful. It is not a matter of distributing the share of power as many people want say it. We campaigned, the change of the Constitution and that the Peruvian people will not forgive us if we do not comply in the short, medium or long term,” said the parliamentarian on the program Panorama.

Waldemar Cerron criticized that the CongressFrom day one, he has tried to vacate President Pedro Castillo and now seek other alternatives such as suspension, but without having the evidence to support his dismissal.

“Ideals are priceless, they are dignified and firm for each person. The administration of justice should take care of them (investigations). Right now, Congress is passing off as if it were the innocent and the coup plan it had from the beginning is not reported I do not defend Pedro Castillo just in case because that’s why he has his surrounding characters, but I can’t allow them to take advantage of the Legislative Power to distract themselves with vacancies,” said the parliamentarian.

At another time, he recognized that the appointment of Betssy Chávez would be a provocation by the government and stated that the dissolution of Congress, from his point of view, is not constitutional.

“I do not consider that it is constitutional (closure of Congress). There is a law that was approved that indicates that the government cannot get involved in constitutional issues. We would have to repeal the norm,” he mentioned.

Motion to stay is filed on Monday

On the other hand, Esdras Medina, congressman of Somos Perú, indicated that the suspension motion to disqualify the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, for 12 months, will be presented this Monday.

As he specified, he has joined his motion to the one promoted by the Avanza País bench, which had previously confirmed the combination of both documents to obtain the necessary signatures, in order to present the initiative before the Plenary.

“For the good of the country and for the constitutional exit, we have put together the two motions, we have worked and we are drawing only one. The technical team has met and that motion is already agreed. There is Avanza País, we are Peru, some congressmen, they are not benched, ”he said in an interview with Canal N.
