Pensions: what to remember from the mobilization day of March 7

The unions wanted to “bring France to a standstill”. The bet is successful for the inter-union: this sixth day of mobilization was described as “historic” by the employee organizations, and gathered between 1.3 and 3.5 million people in the streets. However, the proportion of strikers remained lower than on January 19 at the SNCF and in National Education. It is a jack-of-all-trades for the opponents: the text continues to be debated in the Senate which should adopt it soon.

The movement is far from over since in an attempt to bend Emmanuel Macron, the government or failing that a majority of deputies, the unions have called for a renewable strike. Several sectors, including public transport, education, refineries and energy should respond. A new day of mobilization in the streets is already scheduled for March 11.

The three things to remember:

> Between 1.28 million demonstrators according to the government and 3.5 according to the CGT union marched in France

> Many sectors have called for renewable strikes, Wednesday is announced as difficult

> The “most modest” will be “the most penalized” by the strikes, regrets Elisabeth Borne> A new day of mobilization is scheduled for Saturday March 11

> Relive the main stages of this mobilization day
