Petro de Luanda defeated Bravos do Maquis do Moxico yesterday, after winning 4-0 at the Estádio 11 de Novembro, in an early game for the 15th round of the National Championship. With this triumph, the tricolors, with two games in arrears, They remain in second place, now with 27 points, while the Maquisardes are in seventh place with 17.

Yesterday, the game had a unique meaning because the home team took control of the challenge. They exchanged the ball better in all three sectors, with emphasis on central defender Mindinho, who was adapted to right-back, attacked and defended very well.

The visitors, in turn, entered the field with the aim of surprising the last stronghold of the Catetão team on the counterattack, but they had no arguments to break through the defensive wall led by Pedro Pinto.

In the first opportunity of the challenge, the Brazilian forward playing for Bravos do Maquis do Moxico, Jorginho, was unable to breach the goal defended by goalkeeper Hugo Marques.

Petro de Luanda’s coach, Alexandre Santos, said that his team played a good game, revealing that the most important thing was the victory. “We also take advantage of giving opportunities to less used players, because the season is long,” he explained.

In turn, the helmsman of Bravos do Maquis, Mário Soares, stated that principles were drawn up to counter the opponent’s attacks, but “unfortunately, Petro de Luanda was superior”, he acknowledged.
