If the Big Bang produced a single universe, then it must be crowded with gravitational waves. But we don’t see anything like that. We have only recently begun to notice gravitational waves, which are very weak. It is now clear that all gravitational waves act to separate our worlds.
Finally, the force of gravity is not subject to general rules. Neither quantum mechanics nor the theory of relativity has succeeded in “repressing” it to the end. The new theory says that gravity is just the effect of that other world on ours.
It is believed that we do not have a way to enter in reverse time, and perhaps in the future such a method will appear, but it is important that the new theory predicts some interesting properties in neutrinos, and if all of that is confirmed, time will actually turn back.
