Pierre Gasly says he is disappointed with how predictable the 2022 podium has been, despite changes to F1 regulations introduced to make it more competitive.
Aside from the results of the top three teams (Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes) in 2022, McLaren’s Lando Norris is the only driver to step onto the podium this season.
This contrasts with the 2021 season, when eight different teams finished on the podium at least once throughout the season.
Asked about his thoughts on how successful the new F1 regulations have been this season, Gasly said: “In terms of racing, I think we’ve seen more overtaking. In terms of driving, it’s easier to follow on some tracks. It is.”
