– Planzer takes over Quickpac and Quickmail
The Swiss logistics company is taking over the two postal service providers. It is still unclear how many jobs will be saved as a result.

The logistics company Planzer takes over the postal service providers Quickpac and Quickmail. Planzer announced this on his website on Thursday. The Competition Commission banned a previously planned takeover of the Quickmail Group by Swiss Post in January. The Quickmail group criticized the decision as irresponsible because it put more than 3,000 jobs at risk.
In mid-January, the Post said it had taken note of ComCo’s decision, regretted it and would analyze it in more detail. The aim of the takeover would have been to ensure seamless operations for customers. Swiss Post signed the purchase agreement for Quickmail and Quickpac in July 2023.
The Quickmail Group with its two subsidiaries Quickmail and Quickpac delivers letters, unaddressed items such as advertising flyers, newspapers and magazines as well as parcels throughout Switzerland.
