PlayStation 5 system update criticized by fans

The latest PlayStation 5 update is here and some fans aren’t impressed.

That being said, it’s been a busy time lately for the PlayStation 5. Console Exclusive Spider-Man 2 from Marvel released to rave reviews and is already PlayStation Studios’ best-selling game of all time. Let’s not forget that Sony also revealed a brand new PS5 console scheduled to launch next month. We’ve also seen some significant changes to PlayStation Plus. Premium tier subscribers can now stream games to their PS5 consoles, saving valuable storage space. The Sony Pictures Core catalog was also introduced. Overall, PlayStation fans have been well looked after, so this update can surely be excused for being a bit boring.

The update was reported by Reddit user hybrid who took a screenshot. The update means that “music in Control Center is now much easier to use”, thanks to a new two-column layout allowing you to browse songs, playlists and categories. You can now also “avoid unintentionally streaming to your surroundings when streaming games with your PlayStation VR2.”

Additionally, if you ask “What’s new?” Through voice control on any screen, you can check PS5 features. Currently this feature is only available in the UK and US. Finally, the update “improved messaging and usability on some screens.”

I said it was a bit boring. One Reddit user commented: “No improved stability? ” while another said: “Cool, but where are the files? Another comment said: “Still waiting for a feature to join Discord directly from the console” or “screen sharing from Discord,” another added. Hopefully these requests will be addressed in a timely manner.
