PostNL opened the 1000th parcel locker this week, at the Jumbo Sliedrecht Kerkbuur supermarket. The parcel lockers are an important expansion of the manned network of 4,800 PostNL points in the Netherlands and Belgium. This makes it even easier for more and more people to receive and send packages.
PostNL will increasingly install parcel lockers at supermarkets this year. So that consumers can combine their daily shopping with picking up or sending a package.
At the beginning of this year, PostNL also opened the parcel lockers to other carriers. So that it becomes increasingly easier for consumers to collect and send packages when it suits them.
GLS Netherlands is the first carrier to use this, the parties announced earlier this year. After this successful introduction, GLS Netherlands will make the delivery option in the PostNL parcel machine available nationwide in phases.
