According to a magazine report, the ongoing safety review of components for the 5G mobile network could result in a ban on Huawei components. The authorities are targeting a remote maintenance and control software from the Chinese network supplier, wrote the “Spiegel” on Friday in a preliminary report. In extreme cases, this program could be used to manipulate or switch off the cell phone network.
