In response to the recent successive regional power outages, Luo Bingcheng said that the Executive Yuan did not specifically discuss power-related issues today. However, the 303 power outage made Chinese people very much expect Taipower to do better in stabilizing its supply. This incident is somewhat systematic and structural. Regarding the government’s power improvement plan, Luo Bingcheng explained that President Su Zhenchang has instructed Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Meihua to propose relevant reforms and improvements within six months; there has been a local power outage recently, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs has stated that the power outage is related to the failure of power equipment. .
Luo Bingcheng further stated that there are many reasons for the failure of electrical equipment, such as the power outage at Taoyuan Airport, which later proved to be malicious damage by man; in addition, there were also cases of animal intrusion, which were common in previous years, but this cannot be used as a reason. Taipower has already experienced animal intrusion equipment in recent years. Many improvements have been made.
