On the first day of the Chuseok holiday, President Yoon Seok-yeol visited Myeong-dong Rice Restaurant, a free food service center for the homeless in Myeong-dong Cathedral in Seoul, and did volunteer work by cooking and distributing food.

The presidential office explained that President Yoon served as a foodie at a Myeongdong restaurant in March as an elected president and promised that he would come back when he took office.

President Yoon arrived at the site around 9 this morning, trimmed vegetables, roasted meat and kimchi himself, made kimchi stew, and even distributed it to the homeless.

President Yoon also had a meeting with Archbishop Jeong Sun-taek, the Catholic Archbishop of Seoul.

Archbishop Jeong said, “I hope that you will take care of the people’s livelihood during the Lunar New Year and will pray together with a policy that encourages those in need.”

In the meantime, President Yoon said, “We should try to make the people feel that the government is by their side when they are having a hard time.” I have to go,” he said.

After serving the food service, President Yoon visited Tongin Market to meet market merchants and citizens.

President Yoon, who had lunch at a kalguksu restaurant in the market, said, “I came to the traditional market to express my gratitude to the merchants who persevered even in a difficult situation due to the ongoing Corona 19 and typhoons and flood damage at the old prices.” .
