Microsoft has released an update for Windows 11 in the Release Preview channel – and there are new functions for both versions 22H2 and 23H2. This is the release preview that will be distributed to all users on Patch Day in April.

The update is interesting, which is now available to all Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel, as Microsoft initially wanted to discontinue the optional updates for Windows 11 version 22H2.

However, Microsoft has rejected these plans. So now there is the preview for the optional update and with it something new to try out this month.

The update KB5035942 once again introduces various new features and improvements. This includes adding more content options to the lock screen and activating the Autopilot 2.0 feature.   • New! This update affects Windows Hello for Business. IT administrators can now use Mobile Device Management (MDM) to disable the prompt that appears when users log in to an Entra-connected device. To do this, you can enable the DisablePostLogonProvisioning policy setting. After a user signs in, provisioning is turned off for Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
  • New! This update improves Remote Desktop Session Host. You can now set up the Clipboard Redirection policy to only work in one direction from the local computer to the remote computer. You can also reverse this order.
