Priorities for achieving effective corporate wellbeing programs

“Despite the fact that we live longer and longer, the feeling that we lack time is more present than ever. And it is that, on average, if we put together all the hours we dedicate to work, it turns out that nine full years of our lives are spent in the work environment”this is how Antonio Vega, president of the Humaniza Foundation, introduced the last ORH Webinar Corporate ‘Wellbeing’, the key to business successorganized together with this entity to commemorate World Wellness Day.

“It is this feeling that reinforces the concept of wellbeing corporate, since people seek a state of comprehensive well-being that gives meaning to their way of understanding life. Each one, his own, which is another of the differential characteristics of the wellbeing corporate, since it must be customized for each collaborator. Companies are already aware that they must ensure that their employees identify with their purpose and values, achieving a balance between being and being; in short, that it is worth going to work every day”.

Now, organizations have historically been designed to maximize labor productivity; something that does not fit very well with the search for a personal purpose. Thus, an adaptation is necessary to facilitate this search for employees through well-being appropriate to current times.

To help organizations in this regard, three experts from the Humaniza Foundation also intervened in the session to provide the keys to the wellbeing corporate from three different areas: conciliation and flexibility, hand in hand with Rafael Ayuso; equity, equality and inclusion, thanks to Joaquin Alvarez; and that of the teachings of the Dõshin’en Method for leadership, with Veronica Hontecillas.
