According to CryptoBasic, U.S. Attorney John E Deaton, who represents the Ripple (XRP) community, said that a ruling on Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) could take another two months. However, he added that the possibility that Judge Anelissa Torres could render a ruling at any time cannot be ruled out. Ripple General Counsel Stuart Alderotti also confirmed that a ruling could come soon, noting that a decision could be made as early as the end of March. Ripple executives expect a ruling to be handed down in the first half of this year. Ripple’s lawyers have said that if they lose, they will immediately appeal.
