Exclusive translation: The Shelton, Connecticut company said Banana Boat Company is recalling three batches of its “hair and scalp” sunscreen after tests found the product contained a carcinogen.
Fox Business reported that exposure to benzene through skin contact, inhalation and the mouth is linked to cancers such as leukemia, according to the New York Times.
The FDA recommended that buyers of Banana Boat Sunscreen “stop using the affected product immediately and dispose of it appropriately.”
