Dozens of citizens came to participate. There are booths on site providing free blood pressure and blood oxygen measurement services, as well as medical consultation. Four team leaders from the American Heart Association gave explanations respectively. They emphasized the importance of regularly measuring blood pressure and preventing heart disease through healthy diet and moderate exercise. At the same time, they also introduced the content and purpose of this health lecture, encouraging everyone to actively participate and jointly pay attention to and maintain heart health.
Host and lecturer Sofia explained the causes and prevention methods of heart disease in detail with vivid language and diagrams. She explains how factors such as poor diet, lack of exercise, high blood pressure, high blood sugar and high cholesterol can affect heart health. Effective preventive measures are provided, such as diet control, regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight and regular check-ups.
Padmaja Vasireddy, director of the American Heart Association, said that they have held health lectures on improving and preventing heart disease for eight consecutive years.
She emphasized that controlling and improving blood pressure is very important to prevent early diabetes and hypertension, and pointed out that a 10% reduction in blood pressure can reduce the probability of early diabetes by 5%. She added that many citizens expressed gratitude for the events they held.
