The president also briefly revisited the leaked news about an alleged “nuclear” space weapon that Russia is developing. According to Putin, the leak was a trap to force Russia to the negotiating table.
He also pointed out that the US will only talk if it benefits itself. If they don’t benefit from it, they don’t want to negotiate, it was said. That is where things often fall short, according to Putin. “The negotiations must also be about Russia’s interests.”
But Putin also hopes for stronger ties with the rest of the world, with Arab, African and Latin American countries.
