Quiévrain in mourning, Séverine, who died at 36, leaves her children behind: “I will never forget her”

Jonathan is devastated. Séverine, his companion, died on Monday. Her five-year-old boy still doesn’t realize his mom is gone forever.

Séverine Geeurickx passed away on Monday at the age of 36. Two and a half years ago, Séverine suffered from stomach pain. She first consulted her gynecologist. “We thought she had ovarian cancer,” continues her companion. And for good reason: her ovary had grown. A metastasis had already lodged in her ovary. Séverine therefore underwent a first operation. Unfortunately, the Quiévrainoise passed further tests which revealed that she had colon cancer.

His funeral will take place on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Saint-Martin de Quiévrain church. Rather than flowers and wreaths, the family prefers that a donation be made to the cancer foundation, in memory of Séverine.
