At the dawn of the new year, the La Bonne Humor club, with 170 members, held its general meeting on Thursday January 18 in the Cigale room, followed by the monthly lottery and the traditional little snack.
President Martine Benassis opened the session with a moving thought for those who died during the year 2023 and greeted all those who contribute to the smooth running of the club.
Jocelyne Maillard then read the moral report recounting all the activities carried out: nine bingo snacks including a special one at the end of the year, the end-of-year meal, two shows, three cinema sessions, an outing to the farm with bison and the bamboo grove in Ariège and of course the flagship event of the season, the Atlantic cruise where 31 participants crisscrossed the Great Blue for 12 days.
Treasurer Josiane Cazenave reported on the financial report in all its details, adopted unanimously.
Projects
Then it’s time for the 2024 program, still lively with bingo snacks, five cinema screenings and the end-of-year meal. As for getaway projects, two day trips are in preparation, one in Camargue and another in Fontfroide, as well as a trip to Valencia in Spain from March 17 to 20, 2024.
The board of directors, resigned and re-elected unanimously, then elected the members of the office, adopted by the assembly and composed of the president Martine Benassis, the vice-president Liliane Bicharel, the secretary Jocelyne Mailllard, the assistant secretary Annie Martinez and the treasurer Josiane Cazenave.
At the end of the meeting, Sophie Bouttier, deputy in charge of culture, leisure and heritage representing Pierre Castel, spoke: “On behalf of the municipality, I congratulate this association, one of the most important in the city of 3 quilles which allows us to create a social bond between seniors by not leaving them alone. I am enchanted by the dynamism of this club with more and more members.”
