In a small setting, Austropop legend Rainhard Fendrich will play an unplugged concert in aid of Volkshilfe. In order to be able to attend the exclusive concert, 250 tickets were raffled off to donors from Volkshilfe. The money should go to the “Against Child Poverty” campaign, because “times aren’t getting any better,” says Fendrich in advance in the PULS 24 interview. According to the musician, the concert and the campaign are intended to create more awareness of child poverty. Because “child poverty in one of the wealthiest countries in Europe is an unacceptable situation,” emphasizes the Austropop legend.

Fans of feel-good evergreens such as “Long live sport”, “chic” or “Macho Macho”, on the other hand, will be disappointed at this concert, because Fendrich deliberately wants to do without these songs. He wants to play songs that “were produced with a lot of passion and tell a story”, as he reveals in advance. “Some will I don’t know these songs at all,” says Fendrich. He himself sees this as an experiment, because he keeps trying “to try things that aren’t expected of me”.
