Churu/Jaipur: A constable of the Rajasthan Police overpowered the three shooters of the gangster Rohit Godara gang. The shooters had come to fire at a jeweler’s shop. This case pertains to Sujanargarh in Churu district of Rajasthan. Here on Wednesday, three miscreants opened fire at a shop of gold and silver jewelery in broad daylight. The constable present there, showing courage, single-handedly challenged the miscreants and was overpowered. During this, during the firing by the miscreants, Ramesh got shot in the arm. After the firing done by Ramesh, the three miscreants started running away from there. One of these miscreants was caught by the constable with the help of the people. The miscreant has been identified as Tejpal Meghwal. It is being told that an extortion of Rs 2 crore was demanded from the jeweler on the phone in the name of gangster Rohit Godara. After this, the police had deployed Ramesh in the market assuring his safety.

Video of bravery went viral, DGP gave promotion

A video of this incident went viral on social media. People appreciated a lot. The police officers also recommended a ‘gallantry’ promotion to constable Ramesh, who single-handedly confronted the miscreants and nabbed the miscreant. Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra lauded the gallant act of constable Ramesh. Soon orders were also issued to give ‘gallantry promotion’ to constable Rameshk Meena for bravery.
