Where the batsmen fell, the bowlers lifted the Rajasthan Royals. Bangalore defeated Royal Challengers by 29 runs. Chasing a target of 145, Bangalore finished with 115 runs. Kuldeep Sen (four) and R Ashwin (three) gave Rajasthan the lead. With the win, Sanju Samson and his team topped the list.

Ryan Paragan (56 * off 31 balls) saved Rajasthan from losing the toss and opting to bat first. Devdutt Padikkal (7), Ashwin (17 off 9 balls) and Jose Butler (8) returned quickly. Captain Sanju got off to a great start. Sanju, however, scored 27 off 21 balls and was bowled by spinner Vanindu Hasaranga. This is the sixth time Sanju has been the victim of Hasaranga.
