Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s F1 team representative, admits that Red Bull’s impressive pace at the start of a new era of F1 surprised him.

However, these concerns have emerged in the form of reliability issues in Bahrain and Australia, but are alleviated by car performance, at least when that reliability is maintained.
“We spent a lot of effort on last year’s car and these new regulations came out. Last year we had the opportunity to win and we had to win, so we chose to take the risk,” Christian said. Horner told CNN.
“It put a lot of pressure on the team in the second half of last year and we had to catch up. Personally, I didn’t expect this year to be so competitive.”
