Redmi Note 12R may be the world’s first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. Xiaomi quietly launched the Redmi Note 12R Pro back in April with Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 and so far there is no version yet. Redmi Note 12R has been released. But the latest phone with model number 23076RA4BC has just appeared on the China Telecom website and interestingly it has a better chipset. Redmi Note 12R is expected to use Qualcomm’s SM4450 or Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. The phone is rumored to be built on Samsung’s 4nm node (instead of the 6nm TSMC like the 4 Gen 1), the phone also has up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage and a microSD slot on board. Other Redmi specs The Note 12R is expected to feature a large 6.79-inch FHD+ display (larger than the 12R Pro with its 6.67-inch display) and have a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. Additional specs include dimensions of 168.6 x 76.3 x 8.17mm. and weight 199g, battery 5,000mAh, charging speed is still unknown, charges via USB-C and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. And according to China Telecom, the Redmi Note 12R will launch in China on the 30th. June and may be the first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2.
