O Xiaomi 14 was officially launched today. Xiaomi’s new smartphone was announced during a company event today (26), where the device and the new HyperOS operating system were announced, which brings several new features, as shown in this article. In the new generation of the brand’s top-of-the-line cell phone, new features and a titanium chassis were implemented, just as Apple did with the iPhone 15.

The Xiaomi 14 was launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which was recently announced by Qualcomm on October 24th. Consequently, it offers even greater processing power, as well as better energy efficiency, compared to previous generations. Furthermore, Xiaomi has improved its Loop LiquidCool technology, which guarantees stability even during intense activities on the device, such as games and high-resolution video streaming.

The Xiaomi 14’s cameras feature Leica Summilux lenses with an aperture of ƒ/1.6 on the main camera, which works with the “Light Fusion” sensor to achieve light input of up to 180°. Its ultrawide camera has had a sensor upgrade to 50MP, in addition to offering a 75m telephoto lens from Leica, which achieves a focusing distance of 10cm.
In the Pro version of Xiaomi 14, there is the ability to variable lens aperture between ƒ/1.42 – ƒ/4.0, which adapts to changes in ambient light. With this, the smartphone can precisely control how much light enters the lens, ensuring ideal exposure in various scenarios.

The Xiaomi 14’s screen is covered by a glass called “Xiaomi Ceramic Glass”, which, according to the manufacturer, is 10 times more resistant to drops than the previous generation, in addition to 1.25 times better protection against scratches. Its edge is very thin and has a certain curve, which the company says does not generate distortions when displaying images on the display.
The Xiaomi 14’s OLED LTPO display is 6.7 inches and WQHD+ resolution, reaching a pixel density of 522ppi. The screen’s peak brightness is 3,000 nits and there is support for the Dolby Vision HDR format. Its refresh rate is 120 Hz.
In the Pro version of Xiaomi there is a variant that will have a titanium edge, just like Apple’s iPhone 15.
Xiaomi 14 battery and charging
With a 4610mAh battery considering the screen size and resolution, the Xiaomi 14 is not expected to have good battery life. On the other hand, the smartphone will have 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, allowing the user to quickly recharge the device without waiting too long.
Launch and availability
The Xiaomi 14 is already being sold in mainland China, but there is no date yet for the smartphone to be sold in Brazil yet. Abroad, cell phone prices are as follows:
