Rebel Moon – Part 1: The Fire Girl
After making an emergency landing on a remote moon in the far reaches of the universe, Kora (played by Sofia Boutella), a young woman with a mysterious past, begins a new life in a peaceful farming colony. She becomes the last hope of survival for these people when Balisarius (played by Fra Fee), the tyrannical regent, and his cruel emissary, Admiral Noble (played by Ed Skrein), discover that the farmers have sold their crops to the Bloodaxe brothers. (played by Cleopatra Coleman and Ray Fisher), leaders of a group of insurgents persecuted by the Mother World.
Tasked with finding people willing to risk their lives to defend the people of Veldt, Kora and Gunnar (played by Michiel Huisman), a kind farmer who is innocent of the reality of war, travel between worlds in search of the Bloodaxe brothers. They manage to bring together a small group of warriors who share the need for redemption: the pilot and hitman Kai (played by Charlie Hunnam), the legendary General Titus (played by Djimon Hounsou), the swordswoman Nemesis (played by Doona Bae), the prisoner with a real past Tarak (played by Staz Nair) and Milius (played by E. Duffy), a member of the resistance.
Upon returning to Veldt, Jimmy (voiced by Anthony Hopkins in the English version), an ancient robot who hid to accompany the group, awakens with a new purpose. However, these new revolutionaries will need to learn to trust each other to fight together before the armies of the Mother World annihilate them.
