Even more than the official opening of the Mon Repos swimming pool, this Saturday, it is above all a tribute to Alain Kehl which was paid to Bévercé (Malmedy).
Alain Kehl was a well-known character in Malmedy. He ran the Hôtel Saint-Géréon for half a century, got involved with the Malmedy firefighters and, every year for more than thirty years, once the good weather came, he managed the site of the swimming pool of Beverce. “The swimming pool will never be the same again,” confided the mayor at the time of his death last March.
At the swimming pool, we are not about to forget it. “At 11 a.m., a tribute to Alain was organized with the family and a few relatives. After 38 years of commitment, his memory will remain! It is symbolized by a pretty photo whose text resonates with everyone who has already taken advantage of this magnificent place, ”says Alderman Simon Dethier on social networks.
