Renault Morocco achieved an excellent commercial performance in the first half of 2023, recording no less than 13,488 sales at the end of June, between passenger vehicles (VP) and light commercial vehicles (LCV), i.e. a growth in its market share of around 1.1 point versus the first half of 2022. The PDM of the Diamond brand reached 16.6% over the first six months of the year and even peaked at 18.1% last June.
In detail, Renault has sold 11,888 vehicles to individuals since the start of the year. Sales figures which increased by 9.74% compared to last year during the same period. The recipe for this iron health? Products that please! Renault has placed two of its models in the Top 5 for half-yearly sales, all categories combined. L’Express even climbed to the top of the rankings! Third in 2022 (behind the Dacia Logan and Sandero), the French MPV has indeed appropriated the status of bestseller in the new market with 6,637 units sold at the end of June and an insolent segment share of 72.4%. The brand’s other gondola head is none other than the Clio, fifth best-selling automobile at the end of the first half of the current financial year, with 3,682 deliveries and a segment share of 21.7%.
Renault has also ruled the roost in other buoyant segments, such as mid-size hatchbacks, where the Mégane has maintained its leadership with 642 units sold at the end of June and a segment share of 21.4%. A division down, within the SUV B segment, the Captur held a strong second place, with 548 units sold and a segment share of 17.1%. Finally, on the utility vehicle side, Renault managed to maintain its supremacy despite volumes down nearly 26%. The brand has sold 1,600 copies since January 1, which represents 22.2% of market share. The artisans of this performance are called Express Van, Master and Trafic.
