2023-06-21 19:00:00

Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, a driver traveling on the A503 in the direction of Marcinelle towards Mont-sur-Marchienne lost control of his vehicle, hampered by heavy rain. He aquaplaned, swerved to his right, left the road and found himself in the woods regarding thirty meters below. Wedged between trees, he was unable to extricate himself from his car.

Aware, the driver called the firefighters of Marcinelle and, unable to get out of his vehicle, he relied on the indications of his GPS to indicate his position. He thought he was on rue des Déportés, but he was not.

Finally, a fire truck looking for him found him thanks to his taillights. So he was in the woods, with his door blocked by trees. After cutting trees, we were able to extract the driver from his vehicle.
