Without a doubt, the Tronsmart Halo 110/100 gives the feeling of a product that has a solid build quality. In addition to being “heavy” at 2.72 kg, its plastic shows great quality, and there is a flexible fabric handle to carry it to another place when necessary. With IPX6 certification, it is also resistant to water and dust, with rubberized protection in the region of the USB ports and P2 (3.5mm) P10 (6.35mm) audio inputs, where the latter is not present on the Halo 100.

In the case of the Halo 110, there is both a 3.5mm input and a 6.35mm input. The 3.5mm is for plugging in an external device such as a cell phone or notebook, to transmit audio from the headphones output. The 6.35mm is for plugging in the microphone that comes with the speaker.

Another structural difference is in the speakers. In the case of the Halo 110, there is only a subwoofer and a pair of mid tweeters. In the Halo 100, we have a tweeter, a pair of mid tweeters and a subwoofer. Below you can check out an overview of this Tronsmart Bluetooth speaker.

What resources does it have?

Like other Tronsmart speakers, it is possible to connect two identical speakers to work with a pair of stereo speakers. In addition, there is also a “SoundPulse” function (“SP” button on the top of the box), an equalization is applied to the sound to bring greater “dynamics” to the music. However, depending on the track played, the result ends up not being as good as I would like.

As mentioned at the beginning of this review, the Halo 110/100 can also be used as a power bank to recharge the battery of your gadgets, including cell phones and tablets. Additionally, it is possible to play music using a microSD card or a P2-P2 cable to connect to a headphone output on your cell phone, tablet or notebook.

Battery life

In terms of battery life, the Tronsmart Halo 110/100 lasts an incredible 18 hours. This probably allows most people to be able to use it all day at a party with friends and family.

Is the sound quality good?

When listening to different styles of music through the Tronsmart Halo 110/100 Bluetooth speaker, it is possible to notice that there was an effort to bring greater clarity to some nuances, but at the same time an attempt was made to maintain a certain extra activity in the frequency region. lower (bass). In the long run, this tuning may or may not be tiring depending on the genres of music you like to listen to most.

It is noted that there is a great presence in the high-mid region, providing interesting detail in the songs. However, there are some tracks where I noticed a certain peak, making the sound slightly shrill. At the same time, I noticed that there isn’t much extension and definition in the higher treble, leaving some performances “dull”.

The midrange is slightly recessed, leaving voices and string instruments more distant than normal. However, fortunately I did not stop feeling a lack of liveliness in the sounds in this frequency range. It bothered me at times, as it ends up altering the size of the stage and the intimacy that the singers’ voices bring to some songs, but nothing so serious that you can’t get used to it after listening for some time.

Bass has little impact, but there is good texture. This made some songs sound “hollow” when there were beats that needed something with more “mass”. Furthermore, I felt a lack of depth, giving the impression of a lack of activity in the sub-bass, leaving the music “flat”, showing an absence of “authoritative” bass.

The soundstage is honest and pleasant. I had no difficulty distinguishing different sounds in the music presentation space. It is possible to get a certain sense of the direction from which the sounds are coming.

Conclusion

Currently the Tronsmart Halo 100 Bluetooth speakers are sold for around R$566 while the Halo 110, which comes with a wired microphone, are sold for approximately R$623. Considering the build quality and even the sound quality, I believe that is excellent value for money. Furthermore, with a battery that can last up to 18 hours, you will rarely have problems with no music at your party.
