The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources held an expanded meeting, in the presence of 80 assistant undersecretaries and executive directors of the support services sectors and directors of strategy and future in the federal government agencies, during which the definition of the “Ready” initiative for the future of government talents, which was approved by the Council of Ministers headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, was introduced. Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, last November, and reviewed the performance of the entities during the first phases of the project, which focused on empowering UAE government employees with future skills in the fields of cybersecurity and digital transformation. The initiative team also reviewed the directions of the leadership of the UAE government by focusing on investing in human capital.
The meeting dealt with developments in the implementation of the initiative through its adoption within the criteria for evaluating the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Excellence in Government Performance in the criterion of readiness for the future, and its adoption in the system of human resources enablers in the federal government, and the job performance evaluation system, in addition to putting the results of implementing the initiative within a report dealing with the percentages of employee attainment. Governmental entities receive future skills badges, which are periodically submitted to the Council of Ministers.
Laila Obaid Al-Suwaidi, Acting Director General of the Authority, confirmed that the “Ready for the Future of Government Talents” initiative is one of the leading national initiatives in developing and empowering government human resources, enhancing their capabilities, and qualifying them to keep pace with the rapid global changes, anticipate future opportunities, and contribute to drawing and creating a better future. to the state.
She said that the initiative, within the framework of the cybersecurity skills model that was put forward with the launch of the initiative, achieved great participation, which resulted in awarding the cybersecurity skill badge to about 7 thousand participants from the federal government employees, noting that the initiative embodies the aspirations and directives of the wise leadership with regard to enhancing capital efficiency. She emphasized that the initiative contributes to increasing the attractiveness of the federal government’s work environment.
