Ried player moves to the Bundesliga

As expected, Bundesliga soccer team SV Guntamatic Ried and Diego Madritsch parted ways.

The Austrian U19 national player, whose contract expires in Ried in the summer, achieved promotion to the Bundesliga. Madritsch signed with SCR Altach and signed a contract in Vorarlberg until 2027. Madritsch joined the SV Ried youth team as a 10-year-old , and made his Bundesliga debut against Altach of all places. Madritsch scored his first Bundesliga goal last season in the Innviertler’s 4-4 draw against Lustenau. After numerous appearances in the previous season, Madritsch was no longer used this year. In addition to the stalled contract negotiations, there was also an injury break. Now Madritsch wants to get started again next season in Vorarlberg.

However, David Bumberger, whose contract option has been drawn, has a future in Ried. The contracts of Jonas Wendlinger, Sandro Schendl and David Ungar, which expire in the summer, will not be extended. Benjamin Sammer receives his first professional contract.
