Automotive market data compiled in June 2023 confirms that the price of new and used vehicles has skyrocketed across the country.

The report published by Autohebdo.net in Canada is not encouraging.
While the average price of a new vehicle in Quebec was $50,461 in June 2022, this figure climbed to $64,215 a year later, a staggering increase of 27.3%.
Across the country, Canadians should expect to shell out just over $66,000 to get their hands on a brand new vehicle.
These increases are largely explained by demand which remains higher than supply, even if the inventory in dealerships is higher than during the first months of the pandemic, according to the price index of Autohabedo.net.
It is in the Atlantic provinces that motorists can count on the most affordable prices.

Quebecers who have scrolled through used car classifieds in recent months have quickly realized that prices are no longer the same as before the pandemic.
Compared to June 2022, prices edged up 5.3% to $37,365 a year later.
For example, the average price of a used Honda Civic now stands at nearly $19,000, all years combined.
The most sought-after model on the vehicle ad site remains the Ford F-150, which sells for an average of $45,873 in the used segment.
