Amid the growing interest in horses among domestic gamers due to Uma Musume, a 2D horse breeding simulation game that directly interacts with and nurtures horses has appeared on Steam. ‘Rising Star – The Horse Game (hereafter Rising Star)’ is the main character.

Rising Star is a game being developed by Stinky Cat Game Studio, a one-man overseas developer, and opened its Steam page on the 16th. This game is a horse management simulation game featuring sophisticated 2D pixel graphics and cute characters.

The player inherits the riding academy from his grandfather and runs it. Their basic duties range from maintaining stables to training horses. As it is a horse-riding game, not horse racing, you will practice jumping over vertical obstacles, rabbit jumping obstacles, and water puddles. Each horse has a level, and you need to level up evenly to be active in the game.

In the stable, various mini-games are prepared, such as feeding hay to the horses, filling the water bucket with water, slicing the horses’ favorite carrots, and cleaning the stable. Characters and horses can be cared for by filling them with accessories, and by upgrading the stables, you can automate processes such as feeding them.

Rising Star will be released on Steam in December. Currently, the availability of Korean language support has not been decided.
