Riyadh: Jeddah police arrested a 15-member robbery gang who made a career of hijacking vehicles. 13 of the accused are Pakistanis and two are Syrian citizens. It has been found that 19 vehicles were stolen and dismantled by the gang and sold as scrap.
The gang used to take the stolen vehicles to a compound with a wall outside the residential area, dismantle them and sell them to agri shops. The police recovered nine vehicles kept by the gang for demolition.
Jeddah Police informed that the gang has been handed over to public prosecution following completing the legal procedures.
