Operating two medical cities in the north and south of the Kingdom

The Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, revealed during the opening ceremony that the number of partnership projects with the private sector in health services planned over the next five years exceeds one hundred, and the estimated capital investment opportunities in them by the private sector are estimated at 48 billion riyals.

The Minister of Health highlighted the announced initiatives represented by several partnerships between the public and private sectors, including the establishment and operation of two medical cities in the north and south of the Kingdom, the establishment and operation of 900 beds to provide medical rehabilitation and long-term care services, as well as the restructuring and improvement of primary health care services starting with more than 200 centers, in addition to Providing air medical transport services at the level of the Kingdom, and a partnership for radiology services.

At the opening of the World Health Forum and the accompanying exhibition, he said that the ministry has comprehensively developed the procedures for issuing licenses and related regulations to support the practice of commercial activities and facilitate the investor’s journey in the health sector.

The Ministry of Health has also established a call center to provide services to the business sector, noting that one of the main objectives of Vision 2030 is to localize the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

The forum is attended by more than 26,000 people from 30 countries, as it is the largest forum for health care professionals in the Kingdom, and five scientific conferences are held on the sidelines of it.

The forum aims to create integration between the public and private sectors, provide investment opportunities, and enable dialogue aimed at achieving the Kingdom’s vision and advancing digital transformation in the health care sector.
