Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajil confirmed that the health status of pilgrims and visitors in Makkah Al-Mukarramah is reassuring – praise be to God – as no epidemic outbreaks or diseases or events threatening public health have so far been recorded among them, noting the keenness of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – to preserve them God-, to provide the best health care for pilgrims and visitors and to preserve their health and safety.

And he indicated that the Ministry of Health continues to provide preventive, curative and ambulatory services for pilgrims through hospitals and primary health care centers in Makkah and health centers in the Great Mosque of Makkah, noting that the preventive plan prepared for the Umrah season of Ramadan for the year 1443 AH includes preventive measures, epidemiological investigation procedures and response to infectious diseases of a remote dimension. His Excellency explained that the Ministry had recruited more than 18,000 manpower to serve pilgrims and visitors, noting that during the twenty days of the blessed month, more than 7,200 pilgrims were served through emergency centers, Al Haram Hospital, and hospitals in the Holy Capital, and 36 emergency surgeries were performed. And 291 dialysis, and 20 catheters.

His Excellency expressed his thanks to the wise leadership – may God preserve them – for their unlimited support to the Ministry and its employees and all sectors of the country operating during the Umrah season, praying to God Almighty to accept the pilgrims and visitors their obedience and to return them to their families safe and sound.
