During the rehearsals of “Matilda the musical” he injured his neck.

Now Robert Fux tells us that he is on the road to recovery.

– I do a lot of rehab and then I self-medicate by buying cut flowers every morning.

Tonight, the QX gala is broadcast on TV4 and for the first time Robert Fux44, who leads it.

– It was a great honor to be able to lead it and stand on stage instead of sitting in the audience, he says and tells us that he has been there during almost all 26 galas that have been organised.

During the gala, the viewer can expect both “party and fight”, “glitter and seriousness”.

– I myself stood behind the stage with tears in my eyes when the prizes were handed out. I was very touched.

Plus on life

The health

– I have had a neck injury quite recently. I got it during the rehearsals of “Matilda the musical” and I’m still quite stiff and immobile in my body, but I do a lot of rehab and then I self-medicate by buying cut flowers every morning at the market here in Vienna. It’s on the road to recovery, you always feel good with fresh flowers.

The love life

– I’m single and I’m happy about it. I have recently been in a seven year long relationship and I think it feels great to be free and untethered. I have so much love around me, so I don’t even feel like getting a cat right now. Then it’s definitely a four on love.

What do you think about the single life?

– It’s like skating for the first time in your life. But there are any number of surfaces that you can slip on, you just have to ride. I am a person who finds variety exciting, I enjoy it.

The economy

– Not many of us have a fixed monthly salary in the cultural industry, so I am very lucky. Then I sprinkle in a few other jobs around and then it can be anything from “Poem of the Day” in P1 to nightclub gigs, so I have very different types of extra jobs and I’m grateful for that.

– If I don’t buy too many irises and tulips, it will probably work out next month as well.

The residence

– Definitely five. I’m a taurus and then people have told me that you like your place and I don’t believe in astrology at all, but this is the only thing I believe in because I like my place very much and I love to be at home and create and tinker. For me, home is an important place both for relaxation and for creation. I have not created a home for mingling for a hundred people, I have a home where I can just breathe.

– My home is anything but a stage, but I really love it.

Is it a little less then?

– My family is spread all over the world, so we live in Austria, Spain and South Africa, so there is a lot of traveling around. Then I have a box at the theater which is my second home and it is also a place that I value very much. My base is in Stockholm. I would probably say it’s my castle.

The career

– I love what I do and to those who can’t stand me, I can only say: “There’s more to come, I’ll do even more”.. No, but it’s so much fun to keep creating and being creative and trying to inspire others to be creative.

What are you going to do for fun?

I’m going to play “Company” at the city theater this autumn, though Gunilla Backman and Helen Sjöholm among other things, it will be great fun and I’m looking forward to it.

Do you have a dream you want to achieve?

– I have a dream! One of the dreams I will get to audition for at the beginning of next year, but I can’t tell you what it is yet… But I will be going on a study trip to London soon because it will be a role that I have never had or even been close to of. A professional role I can say.
