Russia: Developing AI software to improve drone detection mechanisms

“Experts at the Tsiklon Center of Ruselectronics have developed new AI software for optical detection means for detecting drones, which monitor the sky around protected areas. This software will help anti-drone systems to operate in autonomous mode and increase their range of detection of drones,” the statement said.

On the subject, the director of the Tsiklon Center, Yuri Koval, said: “The developers used a complex set of improved artificial intelligence software, and were able to combine the capabilities of these software together to develop new software.”

“The software developed by our center’s experts has demonstrated high efficiency and potential for further development in the field of security. According to our estimates, this software is capable of increasing the range of drone detection systems by regarding 40% and can be adopted with many anti-drone systems designed to protect various infrastructure facilities, as well as to protect private property and sites from illegal violations of their borders,” he added.

It is worth noting that the company “Ruselectronics” had revealed last month a new long-range radar with distinctive specifications, and also announced the development of small-sized computers that operate with Russian-made processors, and is working on many projects in the field of advanced electronics.
