Russian authorities have been alerted after reports of gunfire and explosions at the Crocus City Hall concert venue in Krasnogorsk near Moscow.
According to Russian media citing eyewitnesses, three men opened fire with automatic weapons shortly before a concert by the group “Picnic” began, while there are also reports of explosions. According to initial information, the attackers were wearing camouflage clothing.

An evacuation operation is currently underway in the area by security forces who have arrived.

Andrei Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, said he was heading to the area and set up a special team to deal with the damage. He did not provide further details.
