Now Russian schoolchildren will not be able to use phones during lessons, even for educational purposes. Amendments to this effect have been submitted to the State Duma.
“An amendment was introduced to the State Duma to ban the use of telephones in schools, even for educational purposes,” information from the documents is reported by RIA Novosti. In the original version of the bill, educational purposes were an exception.
Previously, a bill was introduced to the State Duma that would prohibit Russian schoolchildren from using phones during lessons, except in certain cases. It was allowed to use the gadget for educational purposes, as well as when there was a threat to the life or health of students. Such measures are aimed at maintaining a more respectful attitude towards teachers, as well as minimizing distraction factors for students, the text of the document says. It was later reported that this bill was approved by the State Duma in the first reading.
