Ryanair has reportedly submitted an official request to the Moroccan government to operate internal airlines in Morocco. This is what the media “Asharq Business Bloomber” claims, citing a source within the Irish airline.

According to the Ryanair manager cited by the same source, it is planned that the first internal low-cost route will be launched next March.

Today, following 17 years of activity in Morocco, Ryanair operates flights to 10 airports in the country. In October 2022, it launched its largest flight program for winter 2023-2024 to Morocco, with 840 international flights per week, covering 126 routes.

The entry of the low-cost giant will help strengthen the tourism offer of the kingdom which adopted, last March, a new roadmap with a budget exceeding 6.1 billion dirhams, with the main objective of increasing from 11 million tourists in 2022 to 17.5 million in 2026, recalls the same source.
