Before making her Bollywood debut, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu participated in Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan 7’ along with Akshay Kumar. On the show, the actress talked about her divorce with ex-husband Naga Chaitanya.
While talking to Karan, they revealed that both of them are deeply hurt by the breakup. ‘In your case, I think you were the first when you and your husband decided to separate.’ Meanwhile, Samantha corrected him as ‘ex-husband’. Karan corrected it and continued, ‘Did you face a lot of criticism as a result of coming out yourself?
The actor replied, ‘Yes, but I can’t complain about it because I wanted to be transparent that way. I couldn’t be upset about the breakup when it happened. Because those who love him are waiting for him. The breakup was hard, but it’s better now, I’m strong.’
After the two broke up, there were reports that Samantha had asked Naga for an alimony of Rs 250 crore. When asked about the worst thing he had ever read about him, Karan said, ‘First they made up the alimony story, Rs 250 crore. But later, the actor said that no one should believe in this news. The actor also said that in October last year, Samantha and Naga announced their separation through social media by sharing a note with their fans.
